For our connections to community project, we chose to visit to Lincoln Park. It was a really cool experience because I had never been to Lincoln Park or taken the L to get anywhere else but downtown or to go to Target. Planning for the trip was not very stressful because we figured that there was so much to do at Lincoln Park that we would just decide when we got there. Although, we did have a long list of things we could have possibly done. The first stop we made was at a really cool costume store that caught our attention from its colorful walls outside. This store sets the creative and youthful aesthetic that Lincoln Park has to offer. We also stopped by DePaul University's campus and an adoption agency. For dinner, we at at Pequod's where Abby had her first pan style pizza. Overall, it was a great experience because we got to walk around Lincoln Park and get a feel for the neighborhood but didn't feel very touristy. I would definitely go back to visit and encourage others to do so as well because there's so much to see!
